Temple Activities
1. Daily pooja Devotees can now perform kumkuma archana and sukra vara pooja to Sri Mahalakshmi on Fridays. 2. Sri Seetha Kalyanam is performed on Sri Rama Navami day every year 3. Sri Andal Kalyanam is performed on the Bhogi day at the end of the Dhanur masa( around January 15) 4. Sri KrishnAshtami (falls in August/ September) 5. Devi Navarathi- the 9 days are celebrated in the temple with daily pooja (falls in October/November) 6. Deepavali - celebrated on Naraka Chaturdasi/Amavasya day in a special manner (falls in November)
6. Dhanur masa pooja (December and January)- Sri Andal Tirupavai is recited early every morning

Veda Patasala Inauguration August 24 2005
The first floor of the Rs.60 lakh Veda Pathasala and auditorium on a sprawling 1,500 square yards is ready. When completed, the project is expected to serve society by becoming a major venue for cultural activities on a par with Kalabharathi and Kalavani air-conditioned auditoria in the city besides imparting training in Vedas and their values to children. |
